So lately, I haven't been feeling Livejournal and some people have been telling me to check out blogger and maybe start a more professional feeling blog. I don't know if that's what that will turn into, but here's hoping. I know that I plan on at least posting bento lunch pictures there. I also want to post reviews of books, movies and video games. Just to get some writing pieces out there and see if it can possibly be a tool for job searches. Who knows? But here's the address if you want to check it out.

Also, for you facebook people, I've decided not to import that blog onto facebook. And I am actually thinking about not importing this blog anymore as well. We'll see.

So those of you who might not know, I am in Charlotte for the Annual Children's Literature Conference presenting a paper on how The Invention of Hugo Cabret blends genres in an interesting way allowing for the creation of something completely new. I am a bit nervous, but after my presentation this morning, I just get to enjoy the rest of the weekend. Even with the nerves, it's been a blast so far. Here are the highlights...

-Biscuit World, enough said.
-I totally got Flynned.
-Heard a paper on the feminist characteristics of Bella Swan.
-Listen to a whole panel on film adaptations.
-Drank with Professors.
-Fantastic (actually beyond fantastic) hotel room.

And those are the big ones so far. I am sure that by Sunday evening there will be more, plus we're stopping at Biscuit world again, so it's sure to be an amazing time.

Yay for finally getting my tattoo. I have been wanting one for a while now and I finally got it in celebration for getting my master's. Just wanted to update those livejournal friends who either aren't on facebook or don't ever check it. :D
